Parent Coaching
Problem-solving together

In Occupational Performance Coaching (OPC) the OT works in partnership with the parents to problem-solve areas of importance and meaning to the parents, child and family.

The OT and parent/carer work together, focusing on a goal that is meaningful to the child and the family. Parents/carers are supported to explore and choose strategies that will work for them.

Coaching can take place in person, via video consult or phone. The OT does not need to meet the child or carry out an assessment in order to carryout OPC with the parents/carer.

OPC was developed by Occupational Therapist, Dr Fi Graham. Find out more about OPC here.
